Get involved
in Adapted Athletics!
Participate
If you are a student, family member
or teacher of a student (grades 7-12) with a Physical/Health
Impairment
or Cognitive Impairment we encourage you to participate
in Adapted Athletics! Please
contact your local high school's activities department to see
if your school is involved with one of the many adapted teams
in the state. If your school district is currently not involved
or familiar with Adapted Athletics, please contact info@mnadaptedathletics.com
and we can help by getting your school informed
and connected with the M.A.A.A. Conference and the Minnesota
State High School League. Our program has grown greatly
over the years due to new interest by students and schools from
all over the state. We have had new teams form or partner with
exisiting teams to create a co-operative program.
Game Officials
If you are interested in getting involved as a Game Official
for Adapted Soccer, Adapted Floor Hockey or Adapted Softball
please visit the Minnesota
State High School League Web Site and print out the Officials
Registration Form! Former players and coaches are encouraged
get involved by Officiating. If you already officiate standard
non-adapted sports, please consider signing up to officiate
adapted athletics! Our rules are based on National
Federation of State High School Associations rulebooks.
We just have added our Adapted Rules Supplement
which you can download on this web site. Our officials
are paid varsity game officials.
If you would like to communicate with the Head Official for
one of our sports, email info@mnadaptedathletics.com
and specify which sport you are interested in and we will forward
your message to the appropriate person.
